Success comes from improvement
Success means reaching the top of the ladder or leaving everybody behind but unfortunately, that doesn't mean success it simply means competition.
Let me tell you more about success by citing my experience. When I was in 12th standard we had a tournament of basketball(state level) and we were in the quarter-final facing the team Ajmer and it was in our last quarter we had ten seconds remaining and someone passed me the ball to take a layup shot so I did and the ball took around on the ring and instead of getting in it went out, eventually we lost the match only by a point and I was blamed because it was only our last chance so we weren't able to go to the semi-finals...I thought about that particular day for months. I was very upset with my performance...then again when I was in my first year we had a tournament {interuniversity(northwest zone)}. In the first quarter we were loosing sided and likewise in the second quarter too but after half time I got pissed off and didn't trust anyone in my team so I decided to play it according to me and luckily my coach supported and in the third quarter we were equal, in the last quarter we were on a lead only because I took the same shot as in the 12th standard but this time it was a success. At last five seconds were remaining all the teams presented there were hooting very loudly "13 no. (my chest no.) good game, keep it up, good defence, etc" I was very surprised because that was the first time in my life when I got this much appreciation but again we lost the game only by a point. This time I wasn't sad a bit nor I cried...my whole team was crying and saying we lost it, if we would have won this game then we would have represented "All India", the coach was angry too by seeing them all tensed and sad I smiled and laughed a bit then-coach asked me what's up with you? why are you smiling? I said " sir it doesn't matter whether we lose or win, the important thing is I've played better than before, I've improved my game! By hearing that he smiled and said you are the star player of this team which was the best compliment a sportsperson can ever get!
So I like to conclude that success doesn't mean to reach the top it simply means to improve yourself than before, to improve your knowledge, to improve your mistakes, don't repeat the same mistakes again and again, all you need to do is the improvement. Success is neither small nor big. success is a success. For a kid, it means learning new things. For collegiate, it means improving their skills. For an employee, it means getting a promotion. There's a lot of definition of success. It's you who have to choose the correct definition. For me, success means improving myself than earlier!
Very well said..Success comes from improvement and yes every other person has a different definition of success. In 21st century success is a need if you want to survive in this world, people try harder to achieve their goal, success and walking through the path they are so blinded to see all the aspects of their surrounding. Success is not only about winning but also improving your human self. We can say also say that improvement is oneself success.
ReplyDeleteyes you are right infact people forget the actual meaning of the success. They are seeing other people's success and follow them instead of doing that they are meant to do. People should understand that everyone is this world should do the things what they meant to do. people need to understand that they should try to improve themselves first.
